Have you been recently looking at your hair and you were disappointed in how your curls looked compared to the pictures you’ve seen of others who have pretty curls? Have you ever wondered how you could make it so you could have those types of curls too? Have you ever wondered how you can actually do it? Yes it is possible in every shape or form. You just have to be able to take the time and have the patience to do so.

There are a couple of really good tips on how to enhance your curl pattern to what it was before, but these are the five best tips I managed to find.

Don’t sacrifice hair for length. Heat damaged and dead hair is doing more harm than good. It may feel long, but it’s making it harder for your own curls to flourish with ease so the best thing to do would be just to cut those dead and heat damaged hair and I bet you will find that twist-outs and braid-outs become a lot easier than they were before.

Use any products that are PH balanced to enhance your curls, reduce any frizzing, and properly close your hair cuticles so they can retain moisture like it should. This is a tip that is actually quite important, but it is often overlooked. PH significantly controls how cuticle layers can react to products by the measurement of how alkaline or acidic a substance is. Try to look for products that state their products are PH balanced. If you can’t seem to find it anywhere on the label of the product, just look on the back of the ingredients and check if it has aloe vera juice which is a great natural ingredient with a low PH of about four which is close to the natural PH of healthy hair which is 4.5-5.5. Our products are all aloe based and offer great moisture and have a low PH.

Use heat on and off. I know some people really can’t avoid using any type of heat forever but it’s one of the ways your curls will flourish. Moisturize your hair daily even if you have a straight style. Do not skip heat protectants of you like straightening your hair constantly and always deep condition before you use any high heat.

Make natural protein shakes. This is an excellent natural remedy when trying to enhance your curl pattern. Here’s the recipe:

1 egg

½ avocado

1-tablespoon extra virgin olive oil

1/3 cup of coconut milk

8 drops of lavender essential oil

8 drops of eucalyptus essential oil

Mix your ingredients in a blender and add any essential oils of your choice. Keep this on for thirty minutes and rinse well. Ok so I’m shifting into story time. I remember a few years back I actually tried this remedy and I can tell you right now it worked wonders for me so I bet it will work wonders for you.

Use protective hairstyles. I would suggest trying box braids, Marley twists; two strand twists, and any other protective styles you can find that can protect your hair.

I hoped these tips helped you guys in someway. I’ll see you next Monday!

This is a very interesting product. I purchased it because I have fine low porosity hair and was hoping it’d make my hair stronger. I used it according to the instructions on the bottle (put it on for about 10 minutes under a plastic cap before applying my deep conditioner). Then I did my usual deep condition with my thermal hair care hot head cap. The first thing I noticed right after applying is my hair was kind of hard and stiff. Applying my deep conditioner on top wasn’t the same either; there wasn’t really the super creamy slip I always get with it. Anyway, after deep conditioning with this product underneath my deep conditioner and then rinsing my hair felt still strangely stiff and almost dehydrated. But I felt like I had thicker hair that week. I’m really interested in experimenting with it more bc more and thicker hair is what I want.

Hi Melissa, Thank you so much for the review. May I ask what deep conditioner did you use with it? The rinse builds in the hair to strengthen it over time. I do recommend using a moisturizing deep conditioner over it, if you had those results. If the one you used has protein that could be why you had those results. The rinse works great with our deep conditioners in our product line. Please feel free to email us if you have any questions.
Oily and greasy

Granted I think I used too much on my fine, low porosity curls, but this was just enormously oily in my hair. I’m going to give it another try using much less.

Hi Melissa! Thank you for taking the time to review the product. A little goes a long way for low porosity, fine hair whereas thicker textures can use a heavier hand. Try using about a dime size (or a little less)on each section if you section you hair when applying products. Please update us on how that works for you.

Bought this bundle of products a few months ago, figured now is a good time to review since I've used each a few times.

I have type 4 hair (I'd categorize it as mostly 4b and 4c) and high porosity. I've been natural for 3 years, and I've noticed over time that my hair just has a really hard time retaining moisture. These products did an awesome job moisturizing my hair. Woke up with perfect juicy curls from my twist out.

Shout out to the knot tonic That stuff alone works wonders, super soft and makes detangling a breeze. But really I think the combination is what makes everything work.

Love this product!!

The Knot Tonic is one of my favorite products. I love the way it gets the " knots out of my hair. It's AMAZING!!!

Loved it.

I went on vacation and used the growth shampoo, real nice, not heavy and not to light. Made my hair soft and very clean, love the smell also. Can’t wait to use again.
