I am a foundation junkie, anything new that gets tons of buzz becomes a new member of the family. With all the whoopla about this foundation, I had to give it a test run. I purchased shade 7.0 with the Optical Blurring brush off the Urban Decay website. For reference, I ran between a MAC NC40-42, Loreal True Match W6-W7 or the new W4.5, MUFE HD 153. With that said, 7.0 was a pretty good match. The foundation is very lightweight, feels like skin…so they get some points for that. It is buildable so you would get light to medium coverage. If you apply more than 2 layers I feel that it is a bit “dry” looking. Meaning, your face will look drier than it actually is. I have combination skin and I did not get oily in my T-Zone at all. It sort of reminds me of Revlon Colorstay but a lighter coverage and thinner formula. It smells like paint, gotta be honest. Maybe that is why if reminded me so much of the Revlon ColorStay.

  • I wore this for about 12 hrs and I have to say it seemed to wear off about 6 hrs into it. Now, take in consideration its very hot and humid here with no air conditioning. So, if you were wearing this to work or live in a decent climate with air, I think it will hold up longer.
  • It didn’t irritate my skin, which is another plus. All in all, its just OK. Please don’t break the bank for it or go running out in droves to grab it. Its not bad, but its not my favorite either.
Would I repurchase?
NOPE.
Not because its bad, I just think that for $38.00 there is a better foundation out there. I personally love the NARS tinted moisturizer more, and would pay the higher price. It gives better coverage and give you a beautiful finish on the skin.

Because I am a female and allowed to change my mind, I ordered this again after finishing my initial bottle. I really like this foundation now and its become a Holy Grail. I will say that my mind changed when I stopped using the brush that is advertised to go with it. I use my beauty blender, flat top Sigma brush, or the MAC oval face brush. It lasts pretty much all day, looks natural, and isn't cakey. I have been dusting a bit of the NAKED powder on top which keeps me from getting oily.
